I loved the floating market in Thailand. Thankfully it was less touristy than many markets nearby to Bangkok, and there were locals there in their boats, doing their morning shopping. We spent time walking around, down the narrow ‘klongs,’ and imagining what it must be like to grow up on the water and take a boat to school.
I noticed these two women, one buying from the other. I was absolutely fascinated by the careworn faces of these women. I know they must have seen incredible change in their lifetimes. I’d love to be able to speak thai, and to discuss with them what like was like back in the day.
