Bowls for harvesting latex sap out of rubber trees in Ratanakiri, Cambodia. Rubber is pretty lucrative, especially for a small-time farmer. Even half a Hectare of young rubber trees can give the owner hundreds of dollars a year—not bad for a farmer in Cambodia.
They take a knife and cut a 3-inch slit in the bark, and then run a little spout into the bowl. The sap slowly fills the bowl, drop by drop.
