I saw this archway the the afternoon I arrived in Hue, when I was out on a walk. I loved the way the bright yellow sunlight played on the bright yellow arch. I don’t know whether the arch is of French or Royal Vietnamese construction. Either way it looks pretty cool.
Once I downloaded this shot, though, I started having second thoughts about the composition. It seems to me to leave a little something to be desired; specifically, I feel that it leaves pleasing composition to be desired. I think if I had taken the shot ten feet to the right it might have looked more balanced. Any thoughts or suggestions on that?
Vintage Post from my Flickr photo blog…. shot it on my 2009 trip to Vietnam.
