An indigenous minority Highland girl from the Krung tribe.
Ratanakiri, Cambodia.
Krung people are a kind, independent people. They practice rotational slash-and-burn agriculture and plant dryland rice.
Their communal way of life is under attack, from wealthy land barons and unethical mining and agriculture companies who grab their ancestral land, forcing them into smaller, more remote, less arable lands.
“Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people”- Isaiah 10.
