Emergency Landing – ប៊ិះ គ្រោះ ថ្នាក់ យន្ត ហោះ

Emergency Landing

This is not a perfect photo, by any means (reflections, etc), but for some reason I like it. I like the snowdrifts on the ground.

So our last flight from the States had a bit of drama—an emergency landing in Anchorage, Alaska.

The plane had been vibrating a good bit, so exactly in the middle of our 12 hour flight from Atlanta to Tokyo, we prepped for emergency landing in Anchorage.

It was a smooth landing, no problems, and everyone was ok. The airline would never tell us what had been wrong with the plane, though. We got free meals and accommodations…. not bad, right?

Then we experienced meteorological whiplash, as we transitioned from the intense, dry sub-zero Alaskan weather to the hot, sticky, sultry tropics of Saigon. Whew!

By the way, this photo was taken at almost 12:00 noon…. and it’s still dark! Whaaaat?

Any thoughts? Any comments on the photo, better composition, processing, etc?

  • If you had taken it outside, you probably would have gotten a little less of the reflection. Just my two cents.
